Introduction to Reading Course Book (188 pages)
This is the first book designed for PreSchool and Young 5 students. This Introductory Course Book addressed the following reading skills: The Names of the letters of the Alphabet, teaches recognition of upper and lower case letters. Charts 1 teaches the names of the letters. Consonant sounds are taught as a Chart 2 skill, students are taught the imaginary picture story where each letter represents a picture that provides the consonant sound, examples are T is a picture of a telephone pole, V is a picture of a vase. Long Vowel sounds are taught as a Chart 3a skill and the student in introduced to the Reading Code for long vowels. This course book has exercises in penmanship, numbers, writing a student's name, address, telephone number and writing upper case and lower case letters.
